All that glitters and glows in hair and beauty at Milan Fashion Week

Feel free to share:

AS all eyes turn to the Paris virtual runway we are In The Pynck with what happened in hair and makeup at Milan Fashion Week, and what an eye-opener it was. The Autumn/Winter 2021 collections were many things from shaggy hairstyles to slick-backed looks, glitteringly vivid eyes and minimalist basics. It’s too soon to tell what the trends will bring although one thing is certain – gone are last season’s nude tones.

Max Mara has put together a dark-eyed palette of smoky smudges accented by olive-green eye shadow lids framed by confidently groomed brows and minimalist mascara and face.

Fendi hairstylist guru Guido Palau has put together a classic look of sleek, tightly braided cornrows offset in low buns while others walked the side-part look while shaggy hairstyles also featured. The Fendi look spoke volumes with brows created by Peter Philips in a bold and timeless creation, and glitter made an unforgettable statement when paired with uncompromising black eyeliner.

The Valentino look went for knife-edged precision hair by Guido Palau along with asymmetrical side partings and fuss-free fine looks. Makeup by Dame Pat McGrath celebrated the timeless look with ruby-red lips and eyes with attitude.

Pat McGrath and Guido Palau went avant-garde in creating makeup and hair for Dolce & Gabbana virtual runway look. Of 135 designs on the runway no model appeared the same from electric hair to brightly accented lids.

The renowned hairstylist Guido Palau created a sharp contrast from last year’s blunt cuts with his runway sleek styles off the forehead, juxtaposed with naturally hanging ends for Prada while Dame Pat McGrath blended glittering metal-hued eyeshadows of silver and gold.
