Tranoï Link – Valentine Gauthier
Founded in 2009, the Valentine Gauthier’s atelier design and manufacture an high-end women’s ready-to-wear collections. The essence of her brand: a right dose of modernity for an urban, refined and relaxed style, all in a sustainable way. In November 2019 she won the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in the fashion category. Valentine says, “I like opposition games, the raw fabrics of worker’s materials, the transparencies refinement of silk or cotton, tweed wool as well as craft materials. The prints are designed in our office and are produced by French and Italian companies. Ready-to-wear collections: the choice of quality business partners committed to a sustainable and ethical approach as well as the meticulous and traditional work which are at the heart of my concerns since the beginning. Each pieces of the cloakroom are created around materials chosen for their natural, recycled or ecological value. My partner, a bootmaker for 4 generations, produces the shoes of the collection. I make the sketches and he produces them in the family garment workshop. For transparency reasons, we indicate the origin of the fabric and the country of manufacture on the product sheets of our articles on our e-commerce. All parts are manufactured in limited editions.”
The brand DNA, put simply, really easy ready-to-wear clothes on the upmarket side. The F/W 21 collection focuses on three themes, dawn, broad daylight and dusk. Following logic, beginning with dawn, for the coming season this theme focuses on colours including berry and gold wood. Using fabrics like Italian viscose, blending craft and therefore supple touches of silk with masculine shapes. Organic cottons are used to give feminine touches across the collection also.
