PARAISO MIAMI BEACH – Three Weeks Til PARAISO!
In September of 2019 CHROMAT announced “You Spoke, We Listened!” For almost two years now, all Chromat collections have been exclusively available at chromat.co and select Chromat pop ups.
The founder, Becca McCharen-Tran wanted to make her garments more accessible to be enjoyed by all. The way she made this happen is by cutting the retail markup and switching from wholesale to direct to consumer.
To address the recent shifts in consumer buying behavior, PARAISO Miami Beach will highlight the conversation on the direct-to-consumer model, business strategies, and the importance of building a strong e-commerce platform with a panel talk on Friday, July 9th with experts from Gorgias, Omnisend, and Okendo.
This season, PARAISO Miami Beach will support two runway shows benefiting non-profit organizations Models of Color Matter and Lotus House Women’s Shelter. Guests that wish to attend Segunda Mano fashion show can purchase tickets at www.paraisomiamibeach.com. Proceeds will be donated to Lotus House Women’s Shelter.
Models of Color Matter started the conversation and an initiative to increase diversity and equity in fashion and media. “Due to systematic racism and built in bias models of colors (BIPOC) tend to be overlooked for castings, modeling opportunities, and mistreated on sets and backstage in the modeling industry. We want to be a confidence booster, a safe place, a wealth of knowledge and a connector for fashionistas of color,” explains founder Nicole Doswell. This July, Models of Color Matters will support reputable swimwear brand Bfyne, by Nigerian-American designer Buki Ade. PARAISO MIAMI BEACH x RITZ CARLTON SOUTH BEACH
The newly renovated, The Ritz-Carlton South Beach will be the host of several curated swim week experiences as well the official media hub for those traveling to Miami Beach to cover the runway shows, attend collection previews, and network with industry guests.
WORKING AWAY FROM THE OFFICE AT PARAISO Miami Beach
PARAISO Miami Beach partnered up with COW-ORK to bring a fiber-fast Wi-Fi to all designers, buyers, models, and media at selected PARAISO locations. Guests will sign up through COW-ORK website to download the COW-ORK app and access all their benefits free of charge for a full week of July 5.
