Final fixture at Punchestown an action-packed fun filled countdown to the new year

WINNERS were all right in an action-packed countdown to the new year on 31 December at Punchestown Racecourse Ireland with ladies receiving complimentary admission and a full card of seven races.

The Tote-sponsored Countdown to New Year’s Eve marked the release of discounted annual Festival tickets, taking place next April along with club memberships and gift vouchers.

Niall Walsh and Erika O’Keeffe counted down to the new year not far from their home in Kildare. Erika’s handmade felt hat was lifted with pheasant feathers

“I hope you enjoyed your day and I look forward to seeing you back to Punchestown on Sunday 16 January where the Skybet Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle takes centre stage,” Punchestown chief operating officer Conor O’Neill stated in his welcome. “A race which is renowned for producing future superstars in advance of the big spring festivals and certainly one to keep a close eye on.”

Last seen at the Punchestown Welcome Back to Jumps racing, Dawn and Bernie Bolger chose affordable style for their new year countdown. The mother-and-daughter pair were dressed by Irish retailer Penney’s and milliner Julie Kenny
