Electrifying New Designers, Central Saint Martins Graduates Big Winners of London FW
Young, emerging new designers as well as the recent Masters Class graduates of world famous Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design, London, stole the show at London Fashion Week. Alumni from C.S.M. include many of the world’s top designers. Let’s check out what these potential superstars introduced on the runway.

Edward Mendoza won the prestigious L’Oréal Professionnel Creative Award, C.S.M. Ed walked the runway himself
in his cheerfully brilliant fashions and stand-out knitwear. Edward explained to Vogue that he created these pieces for men and non-binary people of all sizes. His inspiration came from his Afro-Latinx family background. “My mum’s from Grenada and St. Lucia, and my dad’s from Peru.” His delightful knit sweaters reference glorious Peruvian folk art.

Jessan Macatangay, MA Fashion (Womenswear), winner of the L’Oréal Professionnel Creative Award, C.S.M. For his “Sculptural Sensuality” Collection. Emilia Wickstead is a New Zealand-born fashion designer based in London, England. In 2014 she won the Red Carpet Designer of the Year Award at the Elle Style Awards. She dresses many high profile clients including the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Emilia Wickstead studied fashion design and marketing at Central Saint Martins.

Nensi Dojaka, winner of the LVMH Prize. The designer’s Central Saint Martins 2019 MA graduate collection featured sheer and delicately strapped dresses and cut-out tights, which have become her signature pieces. Her popularity continues to grow with this new, accomplished collection, in which she’s extended her lingerie inspired silhouettes by adding evening wear.
