UN VARON by Fabian Hernández, Colombia, 2023, 1h22, VOSTF
Carlos lives in a hostel in the center of Bogotá, a refuge where life is a little less violent than outside. It’s Christmas and Carlos would like to share a moment with his family. When he leaves home, Carlos is confronted with the harshness of the streets of his neighborhood, where the law of the strongest reigns. Carlos needs to show that he too can be one of those alpha males. He will have to choose between adopting these codes of aggressive masculinity, or, on the contrary, embracing his deep nature.
The film will be screened in the presence of director Fabien Hernandez.
