Berry Bros – Pol Roger’s Winston Churchill cuvée – Eben Sadie’s early days
Italian wines to enjoy now
In the next few weeks, we will be bringing you our highly-anticipated Barolo and Barbaresco releases. Ahead of welcoming these exciting offers, we’ve brought together a selection of the finest Italian wines that are drinking wonderfully now, perfect for uncorking and sharing with friends or family.
The spring spirits release
The Spring Spirits release is now here. This stellar new selection covers a wealth of distilling talent from our shores; in it, you’ll find our first-ever bottling of English single malt whisky, crafted with the family-owned Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery. Also included is an artisan rum from The Portsmouth Distillery. This true home-grown delight was distilled in an 18th-century fort on the Hampshire coast.
Eben Sadie: putting down roots
Eben Sadie’s wines are among the most sought-after anywhere on Earth, and Eben himself is renowned as one of South Africa’s greatest winemakers. Yet he is a relative newcomer to the world of wine. But, as we discover on our blog, nothing about The Sadie Family Wines feels short-lived.
Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill 2015
Champagne Pol Roger’s Sir Winston Churchill is one of the most iconic prestige cuvées on the market. The new 2015 vintage is as rich, full and long-lived as its predecessors, and is nearly ready to be shipped after six years of quiet ageing. With enticing brioche and apricot aromas, alongside tangy lemon and gingerbread, this is a wine to savour for decades to come.
A wine for spring: 30% off our Provence Rosé
Our Own Selection Provence Rosé is always a favourite at this time of year. Made for us by the brilliant Château la Mascaronne, this deliciously fresh wine is ideal for drinking throughout spring, and toasting the arrival of sunshine and warmer days. Buyer Catriona Felstead MW selected this blend for its notes of wild strawberry, fennel and garden sage, as well as its wonderfully long, balanced and sophisticated finish.
A complimentary tasting with spirits distillery London to Lima
We’re delighted to invite you to the next complimentary in-store tasting at our Basingstoke Shop. On Saturday 15th April, between 11am – 3pm, we’ll be joined by the wonderful London to Lima, for a free guided tasting of their gin and rum. These exceptional spirits are inspired by their founders’ distinct heritages.
