Notable horseracing on the cards this winter in Ireland
WINTER horseracing is poised to run at festivals across Ireland and some of the most notable are on the cards from now and throughout the holiday season.
Notable winter racing showcasing some of the best horses, jockeys and trainers on the National Hunt scene is scheduled to run a minimum of two race days featuring top quality racing from Navan and at Fairyhouse, County Meath; Punchestown in County Kildare, Leopardstown in Dublin and at Limerick Racecourse.
With just days to go, plans for the inaugural Navan Racing Festival (Saturday-Sunday, 18-19 November) are ramping up for a weekend of top-class racing, music and hospitality on the racecourse and in the nearby Navan town. The Punchestown Winter Festival (Saturday-Sunday, 25-26 November) has a whole new look with an enhanced racing lineup and new dates, the highlight being the repackaged top quality races for a brilliant Grade 1 double-header across the weekend.
