2016 Chateau La Gaffeliere

Christmas is a time to pull out all the stops. Whether it’s dinner on the big day or entertaining loved ones, a good bottle of Bordeaux makes a most welcome accompaniment.

But Christmas is also a busy time. Most of us don’t have the luxury of comparing châteaux and vintages and drinking windows. Thankfully, our Buyers do – and they’ve found just the thing.

Château La Gaffelière is one of the top estates in St Emilion, known for making fresh, energetic wines that are wonderful with food. The 2016 vintage here was outstanding. It is drinking beautifully now, with intense fruits, floral notes and hints of savoury spice. It will not disappoint this Christmas.
