Chef Ahmet Dede, owner of one of Ireland’s Two Star Michelin Restaurants, located in Baltimore in West Cork will be holding a Barolo Wine Dinner, to celebrate one of the world’s greatest wine regions on Wednesday, 25th March 2026. The consumer dinner is a not to be missed evening, in one of Ireland’s most sought after restaurants.
Specialising in local Irish produce, infused with the flavours of Dede’s Turkish heritage, in recent years Dede at the Custom House has garnered an enormous number of awards, accolades and rave reviews for Dede’s inventive use of flavors and his artistic presentation. Dishes are celebrated for their uniqueness and use of local ingredients. The restaurant is also known for its impressive wine list, carefully curated and managed by Dede’s French Sommelier Jacques Savary de Beauregard.
The evening will feature a five-course tasting menu, carefully composed to complement a selection of outstanding Barolo wines from a range of leading producers, each offering a unique expression of this remarkable appellation.
The wines will be presented by guest speaker, David Gleave MW, one of Europe’s most highly regarded Italian wine experts and a true specialist about wine from the Barolo region. A Master of Wine since 1983, David has spent decades immersed in Piedmont, working closely with its finest growers and championing Barolo on the international stage. His unrivalled depth of knowledge, long-standing relationships with producers, and engaging storytelling make him an extraordinary guide to the wines and their origins. Few people can illuminate Barolo, its history, vineyards, and future, with the insight and clarity that David brings.Throughout the dinner, David will sharing rare perspectives about the producers, the terroirs, and why these wines are so compelling at the table.
