French / Italian in London’s Soho with the resurection of Cafe Monico

Café Monico is the latest addition to London from the Soho House group. The restaurant by Rowley Leigh has  a French / Italian ‘grand café’ vibe.

The new restaurant, located on Shaftesbury Avenue, close to the Piccadilly Circus Underground station,  is inspired by the original Café Monico that was established in 1877. The all day brasserie menu offers French and Italian dishes including traditional plates such as Moules Frites (£13) and a selection of pasta dishes.

Demolished in the 1950’s, the original Café Monico was located just around the corner.

The restaurant scores a 4 out of five stars on Timeout.com. For the Café Monico menu, location and general information visit cafemonico.com. For more information and other properties of the Soho House group, visit sohohouse.com.
