Pynck attended an exciting Polo match recently, which took place in Wicklow. Ireland took on the USA team, the match was hosted by Micky and Wendy Herbst. The Irish team sported pink and the USA team wore blue. It was an action packed event, evidence below!
It was neck and neck throughout the match, until Ireland got ahead towards the end against the visiting Yale team YSA, with the final score 8 10.
We were treated to a wonderful lunch of lamb tagine, salads and banoffi pie – all prepared by Wendy Herbst herself. The match was attended by Gerald Keane and a host of polo stars from both Ireland and the USA. It was a wonderful afternoon and highly entertaining with Micky Herbst acting as host and compare for the match. A great day had by all.
The USA team was announced as Eileen Flint, Liz Brayboy, Patrick Marinelli and Agapito Morgan. The Irish team was headed by Siobhan Herbst and Colm Kelleher. For more information visit wwww.polowicklow.com or follow their official facebook page.
