Barnardos – Can you help us right now?
Things are hectic here at Barnardos right now. We’ve had to totally revisit how we deliver our services, due to the outbreak of COVID 19.
To be honest we really need your help.
We’re currently supporting the most vulnerable children and their families and we are determined to continue to be there for them over the weeks and months to come, when they may need us more than ever before. We need your help to do that.

We are more than aware of the negative impact this pandemic could have on children that are already in very vulnerable circumstances. Children whose ‘safe space’ was a school classroom, are now confined in chaotic home environments. Children who rely on our breakfast and after-school clubs for warm and nourishing meals are now living in homes with empty cupboards.
Barnardos services are rapidly adapting to ensure our front-line staff can keep in contact with families struggling and that need extra support during this challenging period.
We are currently working with 1581 families at the moment, requiring critical and intensive support with a further 629 on waiting lists. We believe that in this time of crisis our services are going to reach breaking point.

We urgently need your support today.
- €75 could provide a nourishing food parcel for a family of four.
- €28 could provide a family with young children a play and activity pack.
- €50 could provide a baby bundle; with nappies, wipes, formula or baby food, and any other required infant essentials
- €150 could help ensure our Barnardos buses can safely deliver essential items to vulnerable families in disadvantaged communities.
- €500 would provide essential technical support like a laptop, to enable our front-line staff to contact families safely.
But any gift at all will be so gratefully received – thank you so much.
Vulnerable children and their families have never needed your help more – please donate today.
Very best wishes, and take care,
