CMRF Crumlin - A message from our Chief Executive

Dear supporters, volunteers and friends,

As human beings we are designed to be social animals and yet the kindest thing we can do for each other now is to be apart.

As we face into this uncertain period and work together by staying apart, our mission is to support the vital, life-saving work that happens in CHI at Crumlin, every minute of every day. That mission has not changed. We will continue to stand with the doctors, nurses, researchers and the whole team as we navigate these strange times.

I’d like to pay tribute to every single dedicated member of the CHI team who cares for little patients around the clock or who provides the essential services and supports that make this world-class care possible. We are working closely with the hospital to determine what they need in the coming days and weeks and we will do everything we can to support them.

And to each and every one of you – our supporters. You are the people who make it possible for us to be there for the patients, parents and staff of CHI at Crumlin every day. Thank you for that support.

While our Foundation team is working remotely for the time-being, we are still contactable and on-hand to answer your questions and queries. To those of you who had signed up to do fundraising runs, walks, events, bake sales and much more for us, thank you so much for your kindness. We know that you are disappointed that these activities have been cancelled or postponed. However, we look forward to getting the chance to holding these events when all this has passed.

In the meantime, please do stay in touch with us on our social channels, by email, phone or via our website – we look forward to sharing news, updates and activities that will help us all during this period of social isolation.

Each and every one of you is such a vital part of our team and stand side by side with us as we help support CHI at Crumlin. Thank you for always being there for our little patients and their families. Thank you for doing Whatever It Takes for sick children.

Stay safe – look after yourselves, your families and your communities.

Best wishes,

Denise Fitzgerald
