Erno Laszlo Relaunches an Icon in Partnership with the Makeup Museum The original Shake-It is back as Limited Edition
Erno Laszlo celebrates its partnership with the Makeup Museum and its inaugural exhibition, “Pink Jungle: 1950s Makeup in America,” with the return of the brand’s iconic Shake-It, a tinted toner treatment. With the same clean formula that launched in the 1930’s, this formula is a throwback, in Limited Edition packaging inspired by its original look and feel, including a custom red wax seal that represents Dr. Laszlo’s “The Angel of Beauty”. This seal decorated the walls of his Institute and Dr. Laszlo had quoted “a face represents not only beauty but all the qualities of the heart, soul and brain”. Marilyn Monroe and Greta Garbo were some of the famous faces who were devotees to Shake-It. Erno Laszlo has curated the antique collection of Greta Garbo’s Shake-It in its original packaging, as well the original Prescription of Marilyn Monroe, written by Dr. Erno Laszlo, which includes Shake-It as part of her daily skincare ritual.
Both historical artifacts will be on display at the Makeup Museum in NYC, opening 2020. Shake-It is available in shade Neutral and great for all skin types, especially oily skin. This shake-tomix, duo-phase “toner with color” treatment helps to even skin tone, control excess oil and visibly reduce pores for a sheer, matte finish perfect for flawless makeup application. Glycerin smooths and binds moisture to the skin while non-drying Cosmetic Alcohol tightens the appearance of pores and controls excess oil.
Neutral was the most popular color and can be worn by majority of skin tones when blended. How to Use: Apply immediately after moisturizing. Shake bottle to mix duo-phases, then saturate a cotton ball with formula. Sweep over face and chin, avoiding the eye area. The coverage should feel wet. Allow to dry, then smooth out with fingertips. Apply a second coat if additional coverage is desired. Wear alone or under makeup. Key ingredients include: • Glycerin- A humectant that acts like a magnet to draw and absorb water from the air to help skin retain moisture. • Citric Acid – A natural skin exfoliator that helps to even skin tone and smooth texture. • Cosmetic Grade Alcohol – Non-drying alcohol that helps to tighten pores and controls excess oil. Availability: Erno Laszlo Shake-It Tinted Treatment is available for $49 at ErnoLaszlo.com on 5/1/20 and the Makeup Museum when it opens in 2020. #ShakeItUp IG @ErnoLaszloNYC // FB @ErnoLaszlo
