10 Of The Best Rosé Wines Under £20
With another British heatwave in full swing, it’s time to crack out the rosé. As many of us are on the hunt for an affordable bottle that still tastes good, we consulted lawyer-turned-wine-connoisseur Charlotte Kristensen, aka @TheLondonWineGirl, for her top picks – all of which are under £20.
Cune Rosado, £8.50
Country: Rioja, Spain
Produced by one of the oldest wineries in Rioja from traditional grapes grown in the region, this combination of garnacha, tempranillo and viura comes at a fantastic price. A fruity style with flavours of peach, raspberry and fresh citrus, this rosé offers an easy-drinking style that’s well balanced and a pleasure to drink.
Pair It With: Tomato-based Spanish dishes like pan con tomate, meatballs with tomatoes and olives, or bacalao a la Riojana (salt cod in tomato sauce).

Les Caillotes, Sancerre Rosé, £11.00
Country: Loire, France
This sancerre rosé is packed with notes of fresh raspberries and redcurrants and subtle notes of garden flowers and refreshing acidity on the palette. It’s also made from 100% pinot noir grapes, which contribute to the crunchy, red berry character and the mineral-driven finish.
Pair It With: A rich and diverse charcuterie and cheese board – the perfect sunset aperitif.

Bolney Estate Foxhole Rosé, £13.99
Country: Sussex, UK
This bottle is made predominantly from the grapes rondo and dornfelder, which are the two that perform well in England’s cool climate. Produced by the award-wining, family-run Bolney Estate, it also has an abundance of red fruit flavours like raspberry, cranberry and cherry accompanied by fresh acidity.
Pair It With: Fruity afternoon cakes or a fresh red berry tart to pick up on the wine’s own berry flavours.

This extremely popular Spanish rosé is full of flavour with notes of red berries, orange citrus and peach. With a little more colour and oomph, it has a characterful fruity quality with a fresh and appetising finish.

Country: Languedoc, France
A Gold winner at the recent Drinks Business Global Rosé Masters awards, this delicious Languedoc rosé is made from a blend of the red grapes grenache, syrah and cinsault. A glass full of summer red fruit with a crisp, mineral finish, its taste is reminiscent of that of the nearby Mediterranean sea. The elegant glass bottle is cut into the shape of a rose at the base – sophisticated, but still fun.
Pair It With: Fresh fish and prawns done on the BBQ, with colourful Ottolenghi-style

A beautiful electric shade of red, the taste is reminiscent of a bowl of freshly picked English berries and cream. Great texture, but really approachable, I love Blackbook Winery’s avant-garde labels which are made in collaboration with young art students in London. The urban winery is based in Battersea with tastings run by the charming and charismatic owner/winemaker Sergio.
Pair It With: Gastronomic fish and chicken dishes, a good group of friends and background Balearic beats.

This premium pale rosé from Kent is full of personality, with flavours of ripe grapefruit and peach, and a nuance of tropical fruit and bright acidity keeping it really fresh.
