Happenings at The Merrion

Feel free to share:

The heart of a hotel is its people, and so seeing the halls of The Merrion fall silent over the past few months has been strange. Locals have been able to enjoy take out meals and afternoon tea from The Garden Room, but beyond the walls and furnishings, however luxurious they may be, hotels are about hospitality, and we have missed you.

We have also missed our own family, those brilliant people who have always been dedicated to doing whatever they can to take care of you. At the moment, we’re hard at work, extending that care to make sure that when we open our doors again on June 29th, you will be as welcomed, and safe as ever before. Advised by a team of experts, our preparations are practical, reaching to the smallest details of your stay, and you can read about them in our blog.

But we have also been thinking beyond that, to make sure the small differences to your stay are good ones. This means more space in our lounges, dedicated breakfast times, and a new range of things to do, both inside and outside The Merrion. See below for just some of the things we have to suggest for your stay.

Dublin, too, is looking forward to welcoming you back. Irish people have pulled together in such an extraordinary way in these extraordinary times, and so our capital city is at the heart of our whole country’s return. So whether you are looking to find new horizons, or return to the familiar comforts of The Merrion, we can’t wait to look after you.

Looking forward to welcoming you soon.

With all my best wishes

Peter MacCann,
General Manager
