Recipe for a Paloma

This is essentially a Margarita that has been lengthened with fruit juice and soda. If ever you need to convert someone to tequila, this is the sort of drink that could change their mind – sweet but peppery and piquant.

BOMPAS & PARR

Total Time: 5 Minutes

Makes 1

INGREDIENTS:

  • 50ml of Blanco tequila
  • 10ml or 2 tsp of agave syrup
  • 10ml or 2 tsp of lime juice
  • 30ml of pink grapefruit juice
  • Top up with soda water (grapefruit soda if possible)
  • Twist of grapefruit zest to garnish

METHOD:

  1.  Shake the first four ingredients with ice cubes and strain over cubed ice in a highball glass. Top with soda water or pink grapefruit soda if possible. Garnish with a twist of grapefruit zest.
