The Goffs Autumn HIT & Yearling sales will take place in Kildare Ireland

While the sales season had been strong at Goffs UK in Doncaster, recent successes on the track for Irish-bred horses has led the scheduling of auctions in County Kildare, Ireland.

Safety protocols the sales house instituted for the Land Rover Sale last August will be the same in November to ensure auctions will be conducted in a safe and compliant manner should the current nationwide Level 3 Covid-19 restrictions be extended beyond 28th October.

“Goffs’ purpose is to provide the best marketplace for Irish breeders, in Ireland, and I wish to reassure vendors and buyers that our commitment to creating the best possible conditions for successful sales remains as strong as ever whilst we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all clients and staff,” said Goffs group chief executive Henry Beeby. “So the biggest amount of buyers are here but that will not deflect us from working to ensure the participation of a number of valued foal purchasers from the UK and further afield and we will also work to ensure the involvement of several key international end-users for whom our world class catalogue should hold huge appeal.”

Among lots put forward for the Autumn HIT Sale at Kildare Paddocks are Light Fury by Sea The Stars, consigned by Currabeg Stables. A colt by Footstepsinthesand consigned by Clongiffen Stud is among the lots, as is Zanabad by Invincible Spirit, consigned by HH Aga Khan Studs.

Sales scheduled to follow the Autumn HIT Sales at Kildare Paddocks will be the November Foal & Breeding Stock Sale (15th-22nd November) and the National Hunt Sale (9th-10th December).

Henry Beeby added: “I wish to take this opportunity to thank every Goffs vendor and buyer for their continued support as together with the entire bloodstock industry we react and adapt to the unprecedented circumstances brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. Rest assured that the Goffs team is doing everything in our power to act in the best interests of our valued clients and maximise the opportunities for your horses so that we repay the trust placed in us by every vendor with each entry.”
