Inspired by the first lockdown book club success launched last Easter and in the summer, the ‘Reading Room’ on Instagram is expected to celebrate literature in all its forms while providing a hub for literary communities around the world.

“In these challenging times when we are isolated from the ones we love many of us are finding comfort in reading,” said Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall on the 2020 book club release, “to fire up our imaginations, to take us on journeys and to make us laugh.”

An avid reader and a firm proponent of the Booker Prize awards, the Duchess made her passion public last year when she released lists of her favourite books. Her widely regarded selections led to the launch this Thursday of her own book club or reading room as she has chosen to name it.

The Instagram channel is set to recommend four books each season in genres from the classics to new fiction and non-fiction and poetry and will feature meetings with the authors with exclusive content and discussions.
