The Family Collection 2017 Anniversary Wine
Aresti celebrates its 70th anniversary. The winery was founded in the Curicó valley in 1951 when Vicente Aresti Astica and his business partner Alfredo López decided to purchase the Bellavista Estate, which would later become the home of Viña Aresti. Today,  Viña Aresti produces sustainable wines and an attractive brand portfolio of high quality products which are sold in 40 countries.
Vicente passed away in December 2012, and the business is run by Vincente’s daughters Begoña and Ana MarÃa Aresti López.  Viña Aresti is run by an all female team of four female directors, one of the few Chilean wineries to achieve that distinction.
The Aresti Family Collection and Trisquel series were both created by Vicente Aresti.  The  Trisquel series is their range of varietal wines from the Curicó Valley, reflecting the character of the valley, that runs from east to west between the mountains and the ocean. The Family Collection are the more premium range produced by Viña Aresti.
To celebrate their 70th anniversary, Viña Aresti will launch the Family Collection 2017 (70 Years Anniversary Edition) later this year.  This wine is a true reflection of Vicente Aresti’s vision.  2017 was a hot year, with an early harvest and lower production than usual. To keep the style of this blend, the percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the final assembly was raised to 70%, with grapes from the oldest parcels of the vineyard planted in 1951. The rest of the blend includes 10% Merlot, 10% Syrah, 5% Petite Syrah, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Viognier to balance the acidity and fruit. Following The wine is aged in French oak barrels before being bottled unfiltered.
Both the Viña Aresti Trisquel  and Family Collection of wines are currently available in Ireland, exclusive to SuperValu. They are available nationwide, at a range of price points. More details of the 2017 Family Collection Anniversary Edition to follow including the release date.
