Berry Bros – A Burgundian duo from Au Bon Climat
Jim Clendenen – the renegade personality behind Au Bon Climat – arrived like a whirlwind in the 1980s. In the pursuit of elegance, Jim eschewed Californian winemaking traditions, instead favouring a more balanced, Burgundian approach.
Now, we’d like to turn the spotlight onto two excellent wines from Au Bon Climat: a Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County, and a Pinot Noir from Santa Maria Valley.
On par with classic examples from Burgundy, these bottles are the perfect introduction to a legendary Californian winemaker.
