FRESH BEAUTY AT STOCKHOLM FASHION WEEK
Stockholm Fashion Week delivered on many fronts, from fabulous fashion to accessories. However, what seems to be going under the radar is the beauty. An overall natural look that prises freshness over perfection, and we are here for it. It seemed to be the less makeup, the better – let your unique face shine through. However, if you don’t feel you’re most confident just rolling out of bed and heading off into the world, here are Pynck’s top tips on which products you can use to feel comfortable and still get the Stockholm fresh look like a true Swede.

First things first – in the morning, get your skin care in order, whatever your routine. We want a fresh base to build upon for the laissez-faire make-up look. Make sure you are moisturised so your skin stays happy and hydrated throughout the day. Pynck hot tip: check out adding hyaluronic acid into your routine. Holding up to 1000x its weight in water your skin’s moisture barrier will thank you.

Next is your base. Now this depends on what you want to show or what you might want to cover but remember, less is more here. So perhaps, rather than reaching for your usual foundation, you might want to experiment with one of the approaches below depending on what you’re looking for:
If you want to combat redness:
Try Eborian’s CC Red Correct. A total lifesaver from that hot, post-tube run, flushed look if you want to go for the more cool cucumber vibe. It lasts all day and is a creamy formula that starts green (don’t panic, you won’t look like the Grinch) which blends to become the colour of your skin but still giving you that coverage if you can’t quite bring yourself to go bare. Pair this with the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter under the eyes instead of concealer and on the forehead and cheekbones for delicate highlighter and you are good to go!

If it’s dark circles getting you down:
Try the NYX 3C Palette. This is where the colour wheel theory comes in – you combat the purple tone under the eye with yellow, just like you combat red with green. They merge together and cancel out one another thus evaporating your dark circles. With the creamy texture as your classic concealer, you can use your fingers or a blender to achieve the desired effect and build up to a level that you are happy with.

Just want a little natural filter where you can still see your freckles:
Try La Roche-Posay Anthelios tinted sunscreen. A beautifully light, water consistency that just gives a little something, whilst also protecting you from UVA and UVB rays – SPF is a must!
Alternatively, you can just use Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. It provides a lovely glow with barely-there coverage. Very Stockholm.
