Dürer Editions is a new fine art book publishing company based between Ireland, France and the U.S. As a collaboration between the three founding members, Dürer Editions has over 90 years of combined experience in art, photography, design and publishing across many formats.
Named after the German Renaissance artist, Albrecht Dürer (master printer, engraver and one of the earliest book publishers), Dürer Editions is committed to publishing beautifully crafted books in collaboration with artists. They strive to be faithful to the artists’ vision and to present their work in a poetic and sensitive manner.
They work alongside the artist at every stage of production, from the initial concepts to final production and onward. They have developed close working partnerships with some of the finest art book printing houses in Europe. By working directly with the artist and the printers they ensure that each book is an artwork in itself.
Dürer Editions distribute previously announced books from Sean Scully, Liliane Tomasco, Brian Maguire, Isabel Nolan, Calum Innes and Willie Doherty.

Joni Sternbach – kissing a stranger. kissing a stranger is a study of Sternbach’s early work made during the 1970s and 1980s. In essence it is a portrait of the artist as a young woman forming her visual language through freedom of experimentation and expression.
David Fernández Pérez – Hoping one might land. In his new book Hoping one might land, David Fernández Pérez examines the nuances of the past meeting the new realities of the ever-changing modern Tunisia; a country in the middle of a radical political and cultural shift.
Simon Watson – Portrait of a House. In Portrait of a House, Simon Watson explores an eighteenth-century Georgian house on Dublin’s storied Henrietta Street. The house has a history of transformation, from the grand city home of wealthy merchants to the inner-city tenement dwelling for the poverty stricken. In a gentle Proustian fashion, the house reveals a quiet melancholy and the slow passing of time. The photographs in this volume were made over several years. The work is intended to be a poetic and intimate portrait.
An exhibition of Simon Watson’s photography in conjunction with his newly released monograph, Portrait of a House published by Dürer Editions opens tonight at 6pm in Kevin Kavanagh Gallery.
