Gary Barlow Organic Wines
Gary Barlow, one of Britain’s most successful songwriters and record producers and a member of the pop group Take That has launched his own range of organic wines. This range is the latest from a range of celebrity wines created by Benchmark Drinks led by Paul Schaafsma, whose management team have a track record of building celebrity wine brands. The Benchmark portfolio includes wines produced in association with celebrities from the world of acting, music and sport such as Sir Ian Botham, Kylie Minogue and most recently Gary Barlow.
The wines are produced by Masters of Wine Andreas Kubach and Sam Harrop of Peninsula Wines in Spain. Peninsula Wines are known their sustainability and “sympathetic winemaking”, in order to make wine with as little intervention as possible.
The range has a white and a red wine and the fruit is sourced from the Castilla region. The 2020 Gary Barlow Organic White €14.95 is is made from a blend of, 50% Verdejo and 50% Viura and has an ABV of 12%. The 2020 Gary Barlow Organic Red €14.95 is made from a blend of 50% Tempranillo and 50% Syrah and has an ABV of 13.5%.
