Wines Direct have a great case offer from Quinta Do Crasto to celebrate their naming as the 16th Best Vineyard in the World for the third year in a row.   They have put together a wooden case which showcases six great wines from on of the Duoro region’s wine making giants.
The Roquette family have owned  the Estate since 1981.  They have a beautiful villa which we stayed in when I visited there over a decade ago when the family had started to rebuild  their state of the art winery.   These are single vineyard estate wines which will really give you a taste of premium still wine from the Douro Valley.
The wines in the Crasto case include Crasto Douro White 2019 40% Viosinho; 30% Gouveio; 30% Rabigato (x2); Crasto Superior White 2019 60% Viosinho; 40% Verdelho;  Crasto Douro Red 2018 Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca; Crasto Superior Red 2017 Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Souzão and Crasto Reserva Old Vines 2017 made from a field blend of up to 30 different grape varieties.
