The Irish Negroni

Feel free to share:

An interesting collaboration between Stillgarden Distillery in the heart of Dublin 8 and Valentia Island Vermouth has resulted in the first Irish Negroni.  I tasted and featured some of the Stillgarden products earlier this year, and was really impressed by the quality of their range of spirits and cocktail products. Stillgarden Distillery is an independent distillery in the heart of Inchicore, Dublin 8.

Anna and Orla Snook O’Carroll are the wife-and-wife team behind Valentia Island Vermouth. They’ve been making Ireland’s very first vermouth from 20 different botanicals on Valentia Island off the Kerry coast on the Wild Atlantic Way. Anna is originally from Bristol and Orla is originally from Greystones in Co. Wicklow moved to Valentia Island in 2018 where Valentia Island Vermouth was born.

The first ever Irish Negroni has been produced by an all-female lead team Viki Baird from Stillgarden Distillery who worked with Anna and Orla to create Irish Negroni.  With an ABV of 20% ABV it is priced at €35.00 for a 50cl bottle. Good to see that for every bottle sold both companies will donate  €2.00 from the sale price to Women’s Aid.
