Five Farms wins Gold @ Blas na hÉireann

Five Farms, the premium Irish cream liqueur, was awarded a gold medal in the Spirits & Liqueurs – Cream Liqueurs category at the Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards. This is the third year Five Farms has won gold in the Spirits & Liqueurs category. Taking place in the heart of Dingle in Co. Kerry, the awards now in its 17th year, is the biggest competition for quality Irish product on the island of Ireland.

Made with fresh Irish cream from five family-owned farms along the Wild Atlantic Way in West Cork, Five Farms takes its name from these farms, and prides itself on using fresh and local ingredients to create an indulgent and delicious drink to be enjoyed over ice.

Co-founder of Five Farms, Johnny Harte said: ‘We are delighted to have won this award as they are the biggest within the Irish produce market. Blas na hÉireann awards are the biggest blind tasting of produce in the country, and the criteria on which the product is judged as well as the judging system itself, which was developed by Blas na hÉireann with the Food Science Dept of UCC, is now recognised as an international industry standard.Research has shown that the Blas accreditation has the highest recognition amongst Irish consumers and using the award logo on packs encourages shoppers to buy these products.
