On Thursday 17th October, 2024, Ballymaloe House Hotel, in collaboration with Tindal Wine Merchants will be holding a Bourgogne Wine Dinner (Burgundy). The event will allow those attending to embark a journey through the rich diverse wines of the Bourgogne region and will feature a selection of wines matched with an creative five course menu prepared by Executive Ballymaloe Chef, Dervilla O’Flynn and her team.
The menu will feature Rossmore Oysters, a Ballycotton catch of the day, Ballymaloe Farm pork, a Cork cheese board, and the famous Ballymaloe dessert trolley.
Harriet Tindal MW Director of Fine Wine at Tindal Wine Merchants, will offer her insight into the relationship between terroir, soil health, and wine quality and will share stories of vineyard visits and will talk about her journey towards becoming a Master of Wine, enriching the evening with her unique perspective.
The evening will commence with Dominique Gruhier Crémant de Bourgogne, Blanc de Blancs and the wines featured on the evening will include:- Louis Michel Vaudésirs Grand Cru 2019, Louis Michel Vaudésirs Grand Cru 2020 and Thibault Liger-Belair Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Belles Croix 2021
Those attending will enjoy these exceptional wines matched with the celebrated farm-to-table cuisine from Ballymaloe. The perfect event for food and wine lovers who wish to enjoy the best of Burgundy in the beautiful surroundings of east Cork.
Places are limited so early booking is advised.
Tickets are priced at €160 per person and for those wishing to stay overnight stays the cost is €325 per person sharing.
