The Best Spring Trends of 2026

The Best Spring Trends of 2026 – From sporty accents to new shapes in workwear

Today is officially the first day of spring, which means it’s time to start thinking about the best spring trends. Right now, we’re taking inspiration not just from the spring/summer 2026 runways, but also the fashion month that just wrapped. On the streets of Paris last month, show-goers were starting to debut the best of new season, and just about everyone in the fashion industry was running to Chanel to nab pieces of Matthieu Blazy’s first collection (especially the shoes!) Which leaves us with just one question: How can we update our wardrobes to match this energy?

This spring, designers not only introduced new iterations of classics, but gave us new ideas for styling, like the T-shirt sandwiches we saw at Lii and Versace. They introduced new wardrobe builders, such as low-rise skirts at Chanel, and continued to lean into rising trends, like the balloon pants at Altuzarra and Ashlyn. There were also statements made of juxtapositions, whether you lean sporty like Prada or ultra lady-like (but with a sense of ease) like at The Row.

There are so many new ideas for how to get dressed this spring. Below, I outline the key trends to shop now.

Layers! On Layers! On Layers!

When it comes to layering this spring, more is more, and designers are inspiring us to get creative with color-blocking. Jil Sander makes the perfect T-shirt and sells it in a three-pack, which is the ideal starter kit for putting together a heavily layered look. We’re also charmed by the one-stop-shop option, i.e. Lii’s runway version that comes already partially layered—making it effortless to get the look. These funky layers look best for spring with a pair of jeans and ballet flats or trousers and sandals. The key is to balance the classics with flair.

Spring Into Workwear

Getting dressed for the office this spring should feel fresh, and an in-between transitional jacket can help you get there. The new blazer shape is cropped with no collar; it will look just as chic commuting to work as it does at the office and out for happy hour after. You could also take a cue from Chanel and zhuzh up a jacket you already own with a pop-of-color flower pin. On the bottom, try a pencil skirt that comes with a belt (just make sure it’s low-rise), or invest in pinstripe pants in a softer trouser shape—they’ll look just as good with a white t-shirt and flats for the weekend.

Scarf Dressing

Silk scarves were once thought of as old-fashioned, but this season, designers made them into a cool-girl hero item. From the perfect going-out scarf top (you could also wear it on vacation!) to scarf-print pants and scarf bags, these key pieces all make a statement. Pair your silk top with a pair of black cigarette pants and pumps for a chic night out. To style your silk pants, mix in a scarf bag for pattern play but add a white t-shirt and sandals for a cool pared-back look.

Sporty With Spice

Sporty silhouettes and fabrics were given a sophisticated remix on the runways. From elevated parkas in bright colors (great for layering, as seen at Loewe) to bright shorts and funky sneakers, these separates look best when incorporated into your everyday wardrobe. Swap your suede jacket for a technical one in a fun color or add colorful sneakers to your trouser-and-top uniform to add some joy to your office look.
